Team Clearity Forms for AFC Half Marathon and 5K Raises $20,000 for tumor blueprints
Team Clearity AFC 2009
The America’s Finest City Half Marathon and 5K was held on August 16, 2009. As part of the Active Network Corporate Challenge, Team Clearity was formed to help raise money for The Clearity Foundation. Team members ran not only to get fit but also to help “Clear a Path to a Cure” for ovarian cancer. Team Captain, Carmine Stengone challenged Clearity Founder and ovarian cancer survivor, Laura Shawver to run the half marathon. Having never run one before, she needed lots of support from fellow team members and all the donors who were so supportive and encouraging. Team Clearity not only raised $20,000 but we had a lot of fun as well. Team members came from as far as Chicago to participate! If you did not get a chance to donate, please click here!
